Overview

Republic of Korea is the official name of South Korea. The South Korean flag name is Taegeukgi (태극기) and South Korean National Flower is Mugunghwa (무궁화). The administrative government of the South Korean government is divided into an administrative one located in the city of Seoul
In South Korea there are six metropolitan cities including Incheon, Daejon, Daegu, Gwangju, Ulsan, and Busan

Climate

Although South Korea, including a small country, but has a variety of climate or weather that depends on the region.

South Korea is also a country with four (4) seasons each year :

Spring (봄) : March to May
Summer (여름) : Juny to August
Autumn (가을) : September to November
Winter (겨울) : December to February

People

The Korean people are descendants of several Mongol tribal groups who migrated around 4,000 B.C. from what are now Siberia and Manchuria. They eventually became a homogeneous race, independent of their neighbors, with unique cultural traits distinct from the Chinese and Japanese.

When the Japanese empire was dismantled at the end of the Second World War, Korea became a victim of the Cold War. It is divided into two areas of influence along the 38th parallel. After the war, the South Korean economy prospered under a series of capitalist dictatorships and the country eventually became a democracy.
