IGSCE stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education. It is an international curriculum from the United Kingdom and specialised for students with 14 to 16 of age. This program is also a preparation program to continue to the next level such as A Level program,
IB Diploma, and Foundation Program
A Level Program
A Level is a program equivalent with high school and is given for studenys as a intensive preparation to apply to universities in UK and other universities around the world. This program gives a focus preparation to a study program that the student has chosen. A Level program is also consisted with:
– 3 to 5 courses that took 2 years to finished
– A high English proficiency is needed as a requirement to pass this program
– A good score in assignment and in entrance examination for each moduls given
– Given an access to a range of universities and study program that would be chosen
– Every class in A Level Program normally held in a small sized class (5-15 students each class)
IB Diploma
IB Diploma of International Baccalaureate was created in Swiss and specialised to students that are intrested to a range of study program and haven’t decided their choice yet.
IB Diploma is also specialised for students in a range of 16-19 of age and consist of 6 subjects group and 3 DP Core
IB Diploma Program contains:
– 6 Group Subject that are Language and Literature study program, Language Acquisition study program, Individuals and Societies study program, Mathematics study program, and art study program. 3 of DP consist with the Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and CAS (Creativity, Activity, and Service)
– Scoring are held for : final test at the end of the second year (plus assignments), CAS, essays, and presentations.
– Focuses on international studies and issues which usually related on what is relevant at the time
– Recognized by known universities around the world.
